Job Description

The responsibilities of this position include the following:

• Working through the full application development lifecycle.
• Performing tasks in the areas of analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance for our internal and external custom software applications.
• Provides input to the project team in the overall application technology design activities.
• Adheres to standards for software development following the procedures in place for required documentation.
• Collaborates with analysts and/or users on requirement and design of applications (including testing).
• Documenting all enhancements including requirements gathering and technical specifications.
• Design and develop custom reports.

Job Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (or related field) or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

• 2 - 3 years programming experience in multiple languages and related technologies such as: C#, .NET, ASP.NET,
• 2 - 3 years programming experience in Object Oriented Programming and Design.
• 2 - 3 years experience in Database Design and/or Data Modeling.
• 2 - 3 years experience with SQL Server 2005.

Pluses:

• Proficient with SQL Server 2005.
• Experience with SQL Reporting Services.
• Experience with Web services.
• Experience with Java Script.
• Experience in the Insurance or Financial Services Industry.
• Experience with Sharepoint
• Experience with Infragistics

Other Skills:

• Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with associates at all levels within the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, organize and plan work to satisfy established timeframes.
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
